nearly in Brisbane

We leave Hervey Bay and continue to head south towards Brisbane. We stop off at Noosa which is very nice, with lots of fancy shops, and very busy! We head to Sunshine Beach nearby for a coffee and cookie which was lovely. Then it's the final push to Brisbane. We visit to Matthew's cousins, Sue and Rob and their son David, to say hello and then to Rex and Patti's. We head out for fish and chips in Manly which is on the coast.

We head up to Mount Coot-tha for a great view of Brisbane and wander around the Botanic Gardens, where they have a lovely Japanese garden. We wander around the city and along the South Bank.

We meet up with some more of Matthew's circus friends and they reminisce about their antics at the old circus. On Tuesday we head down to Surfer's Paradise, in true British style we sit on the beach, with the rain threatening to fall on us, we watch the world go by. The rain clouds disappear and we enjoy the soft sand and watch the big waves. We meet up with an old friend of Matthew's who lives there with her family.

I speak to an old friend from home who lives here now with his family and hopefully will see them before we leave. We appear to know more people who live in Brisbane than in any other Australian city!!!

On the weekend we are taking a boat trip up the river in Brisbane and going to Australia Zoo to see the crocs - watch this space.

  1. Hi. All sounds lovely. Is Matthew tempted to join the circus again! The coffee looks great. Miss chatting with you. xxx
